Albino Cross-Bill

Albino Cross-Bill Bird

The things you seen in nature never cease to amaze me. Since this little white bird on the right is a albino cross-bill which was photographed at my father’s bird feeder over Father’s Day. Apparently this albino cross-bill seems to be part of a flock of about 20 other regular cross-bill birds who visit my parents feeder everyday.

I just took pictures and a few video clips of two cross-bills with a white bird.
We are located on Kodiak Island … where are you located?
We first wondered if someone’s pet bird was loose but the features matched with the cross-bills and definitely did not look like a canary or finch.
They flew around our property to all three feeders but none of my still photos turned out. My video clips definitely caught a few clear moments that cause me to start googling ‘albino crossbills’ … bringing me to your site.

The photo above was taken by my father in-law in Rapid City, SD. They have been getting a lot of crossbills lately.
